“So, everything’s new for me, but I played such a good match. I’m very happy with myself, very proud of the way that I fought, and the way that I stayed mentally [strong] on every game, every point.”
“I grew up watching Roger. I think everyone wanted to play like him”
“I even tried, when I was younger, the one-handed [backhand]. I tried for, like, one week, and then I have something in my elbow, and then I forgot, I’m going to go two-handed again. Guga [Kuerten], of course ... he’s not only [my] idol as a player, but as a person. He’s such a nice person.”

"Tennis is about steps. I have to keep working hard and stay focused on my goals."
"Not bad! I just enjoyed every moment on this amazing court. It's my first time playing in a huge stadium, my first main draw of a Grand Slam. So, I just enjoyed playing."
"I believe in pushing my limits and giving my best in every match. It’s not just about winning, but about improving and enjoying the game." "Every match is a learning experience. I focus on improving my game and enjoying the process."
"I believe in hard work and dedication. Success comes to those who are willing to put in the effort."
"I draw inspiration from my family and coaches who have always supported me."
"Competing at the highest level is a dream come true. I aim to make the most of every opportunity."
"For sure it was a tougher match. Yesterday I was feeling better on the court. Today I was not feeling very well, missing some balls, easy balls, a little bit more nervous. I'm very happy the way that I fought to the end, the mentality of staying positive and focusing on the good things, to make a change after the first set."
"Unbelievable week, even in Argentina there are some Brazilians cheering for me. That’s just amazing. Every Brazilian, everyone from their country wants this support from your own country. For me, this moment that I’m living is just unbelievable. I want to thank my family, my friends and my sponsors for just helping me achieve my dream, which is to play tennis. Of course I want to be No. 1, of course I want to win Slams, titles, but my dream is just to play tennis, and I’m living it".
"I knew I would get nervous, that I would have to face the fear of playing with so many people. I tried with all my strength to face the moment but I couldn't, it's part of the sport. It's about learning from these experiences to become stronger. Tonight I will be furious but tomorrow I have a day off and Thursday we are back on the practice courts. The year will be long and my career will be long as well. We live and we learn. I was 100 per cent physically. Today it was all mental".
