Neymar
Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, commonly known as Neymar, is a Brazilian professional football player. Born on February 5, 1992, in Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo, he started his football career at a young age, playing for local clubs such as Portuguesa Santista and Santos FC.
Brief history
At the age of 17, he made his debut for Santos FC and quickly became a key player for the club, helping them win the Copa do Brasil in 2010 and the Copa Libertadores in 2011. In 2013, he transferred to Barcelona for a fee of €57 million, where he played alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez to form one of the most formidable attacking trios in football history. In 2017, he moved to Paris Saint-Germain for a world record fee of €222 million, becoming the most expensive footballer in history at the time.
Major Achievements
He has had a highly successful career, with numerous achievements and records to his name. During his time at Santos, he won the Campeonato Paulista three times, the Copa do Brasil once, and the Copa Libertadores once. At Barcelona, he won two La Liga titles, three Copa del Rey titles, and the UEFA Champions League once. Since joining Paris Saint-Germain, he has won three Ligue 1 titles, three Coupe de France titles, and three Coupe de la Ligue titles.
In addition to his club achievements, he has also had a successful international career with the Brazilian national team. He has been the top scorer for both Santos and Paris Saint-Germain, and has scored over 70 goals for the Brazilian national team, making him the third-highest goalscorer in the country's history.
